"This is just the kind of show I want to see when I'm in the mood for pure, uncomplicated wish fulfillment. It's about a scared but ambitious little guy who somehow gains the friendship of a cute, insanely curvy girl who shows up in time to take out the bullies before they really mess him up. It's just animated brain candy that doesn't try to be anything else."

"A fun show for those simply looking for another insane martial arts romantic comedy. Cliché to the max with knockoffs of every martial arts stereotype who becomes a teachers to lowly weak student, Kenichi. Formula anime but entertaining all the same."
