I think I'm spoiled by [[Kill la Kill]]. This proberly would have been much more enjoyable if it had half of Kill la Kill's bombast but I found the first episode of Zvedza to be painfully slow and pedestrian.

Good action and animation.  Has comical moments.  Fan-service is sometimes cringeworthy.

I guess the magical girls had to take on the miltary sooner or later.  Of course, if they're hot witches with awe-inspiring cleavage I'd expect them to win.  If they're just teenagers with long swords and short skirts, it seems less likely.  But when the conquest is the dream of a seven-year-old megalomanic on a pink bicycle with training wheels that solidly in the territory of surreal.  I totally hate saying this but I want to watch more of it.

Weird does cover this. Surreal insane character designs ... anyone CRAZY enough to cosplay this screwed up crew of revolutionaries? O_O <br />

Other than that, Zvezda has it charms and characters.  A good show to forget logic and kill 20 minutes while we wait for more Kill la Kill.

I think I'm spoiled by Kill la Kill. This proberly would have been much more enjoyable if it had half of Kill la Kill's bombast but I found the first episode of Zvedza to be painfully slow and pedestrian.

John

Doug

I guess the magical girls had to take on the miltary sooner or later. Of course, if they're hot witches with awe-inspiring cleavage I'd expect them to win. If they're just teenagers with long swords and short skirts, it seems less likely. But when the conquest is the dream of a seven-year-old megalomanic on a pink bicycle with training wheels that solidly in the territory of surreal. Michael Eh?

Weird does cover this. Surreal insane character designs ... anyone CRAZY enough to cosplay this screwed up crew of revolutionaries? O_O

Other than that, Zvezda has it charms and characters. A good show to forget logic and kill 20 minutes while we wait for more Kill la Kill.
