			I thought that this was a nice introduction to a show.
			We get introduced to some of the characters at a good pace, and some of the world is revealed (the characters themselves do not know much of the world, and I think that's a good think - we will discover it as they do).

			All in all, it left me curious to see where this goes.

Chakuro is the 14-year-old archivist of the Mud Whale, a nigh-utopian island that floats across the surface of an endless sea of sand. Nine in ten of the inhabitants of the Mud Whale have been blessed and cursed with the ability to use saimia, special powers that doom them to an early death. 
Chakuro and his friends have stumbled across other islands, but they have never met, seen, or even heard of a human who wasn't from their own. One day, Chakuro visits an island as large as the Mud Whale and meets a girl who will change his destiny.

Chakuro est l'archiviste de 14 ans de la Mud Whale, une île presque utopique qui flotte à travers la surface d'une mer de sable sans fin. Neuf habitants sur dix de la baleine de boue ont été bénis et maudits avec la capacité d'utiliser la saïmie, des pouvoirs spéciaux qui les condamnent à une mort prématurée.
