Sakura had managed to capture all of the Clow Cards which could bring disaster to the world and turned them into her own Sakura Cards. Now it’s spring. With cherry trees in full blossom, Sakura is just entering middle school. Her beloved Syaoran has returned from Hong Kong, and Sakura was thrilled to be going to school with him again. But one night, something strange happens to her Cards... On top of that, strange things keep happening in Tomoeda. Guided by the Key she encountered in her dream, Sakura starts collecting Cards again. And then, a new girl transfer into her class...

If I'd ever seen the original series, maybe I'd find this exciting, or interesting, or something. As it stands, the only mildly entertaining element was the girl with the camcorder and all the costumes; I doubt that I'll be stirring myself to watch any more of this.

It has been so long since I saw the first cardcaptor, I hadn't really realized how much of it I had forgotten. From what I recall, the characters have not changed too much, they are just a bit older.

In many ways, this was (and still is) a typical magical girl anime, but since it was the first I ever saw, it still holds a special place in my heart. Looking forward to seeing more.
