	Dans un cadre fantastique de l'Est de style, une équipe de frère et soeur de gardiens sacrés est assailli par le Xuan Zong Gui, minions de Mié Tian Hai, qui cherche l'épée Tian Xing Jiàn qu'ils possèdent. L'apparence de Hai conduit à la défaite du frère, mais sa sœur, Dan Fei, saute d'une falaise à la sécurité temporaire. Plus tard, un épéiste errant tombe sur un temple en ruine, où une statue de Bouddha est protégé par un parapluie contre la pluie. Quand il prend le parapluie pour lui-même, un homme reposant sous un arbre à proximité l'informe qu'il doit faire preuve de compassion à l'autre voyageur, il rencontre comme un compromis pour prendre le parapluie. Ce prochain voyageur est Dan Fei, étant toujours poursuivi par les sbires Xuan Zong Gui. Tant sa promesse et la sorcellerie de l'ennemi quitte le wanderer incapable d'éviter de s'impliquer. 	Huh, so this is what Gen Urobuchi's working on now. No complaints though, the puppets are gorgeous, the camera work is great and really helps to hide most of the technical issues with trying to move puppets in a realistic fashion, the soundtrack by Hiroyuki Sawano is overdramatic and fits the action to a T, and the characters are instantly interesting right off the bat. Yeah, the story so far is kinda typical for a Wuxia style show but I'm having way too much fun watching the amazing imagery and direction to really care.
