I spent Earth Hour … with stuff shutdown and step out for the hour.  I returned to get a warmer coat… Global warming… bah. Since I defrosted the fridge earlier this week, it will remain on.

Well I went out and except for a walkin pizza place that had it’s costumer area dimmed, London on the most part was lit like a Christmas tree.

I got back with minutes to spare. I took out my keychain LED flashlight and lit a candle and waited for my cellphone to play O’ Canada when it was officially 9 PM.

So much for Earth Hour.

Mirai Nikki or Future Diary is a well written manga where Amano Yukiteru imaginary friend is real.  Deus ex Machina, is a godlike being who commands time.  He gives Amano cell phone diary to be able to see the future. Not only that, but  11 other contestants are locked into a game of life and death.  If their cell phones which forecast the future stops, so do they … fatally.

This is a suspense story which is artistically drawn.  The catch is the game master Deus is not as all uncaring as other attempts at this stroyplot.  However his preference of Amano puts him in danger as other ‘Future Diary’ players see his as obsticle that should be removed first.

March (break) Toronto Anime Con. This year’s show had lots of voice actors and cosplayers. The greatest thing was the wall of neon sculpture was gone.

Spring TAC 2008

Are you seeing double? Well, yes and no.

In this case, we reviewed the anime, Rosario to Vampire this Sunday but we’re also inviting people to review to manga by Ikeda Akihisa.

Either way, this supernatural romance comedy is sure to please.

Hard to believe it’s been 10 years since this con. I was lucky to get a sketch done by Fred Perry as well as luck of finding the photos taken during that time.

Anime North 1998
Unless I find more, this is all I have precently of Anime North.  On the forums, I have gotten warm feedback on these galleries.  Hopefully I will be able to post many more in the years ago.
