ARTIST: Lindsay Davis Email Webpage: None Oddly inspite of being oversized and pencils slightly smudged. The judge found this one his favorite. |

Image: skunkgirl002.jpg
ARTIST: Shelley Chen Email Webpage: www.angelfire.com/anime2/manga2graphics/ Interesting coplay version of the 'Skunk Girl' ideal. Her business card shows she is capable of fine art. |

ARTIST: Julian Spillane Email Webpage: None Sort of punk skunker. ;) |
|
|
Image: skunkgirl004.jpg
ARTIST: Brandon O'Donnell Email Webpage: www.society-page.net A friend who runs a local comicbook shop said this pose reminded him of old Wolverine/Daredevil cover. An intersting blend of anime styling with true anthromorphic character. |

ARTIST: Ecstatic Boy Email Webpage: None Originally I thought the pencilling would too light to pickup on my scanner. So I had the artist ink the submission. In truth, the pencils turned up but the ink job gave a sort of graffitti feel to composition. |

ARTIST: Jonathan Yule Email Webpage: None Skunku mimi character much like neko mimi. Has good composition. |

ARTIST: Jennifer Chen Email Webpage: www.skratch-pad.com Personally *my* favorite though this piece alone caused the most grief. I had to search for way to carry the piece home and finally came up with a bag and board. To my horror somthing else in the bag caused smudges on the work. After the con I visited an artist friend of mine who thankfully professionally cleaned up the smudges. Thanks Taral! |

ARTIST: Ellen Tam Email Webpage: None Strangely alot of people from our anime club love this piece. Original thinking on this piece. |
|
|
Image: skunkgirl009.jpg
ARTIST: Mark Sprague Email Webpage: www.dragon-mango.com Mark was one Dragon Mango artists that actually came through with the only mecha-skunk entry. I throughly enjoyed his humour in the piece and his enthusian to the ideal of the challenge. Also I was impressed by their bookmarks and magnets and prints. Ideally priced. They kept their products at a broad range so that no one could afford *NOT* to walk away with something. |

Image: skunkgirl010.jpg
ARTIST: Alex Leitch Email Webpage: whimonline.cjb.net Second of the skunk and person pics but the skunk being definitely female being held by male character cosplaying with a skunk tail. The art style is definitivly unique as the interpretation of the challenge. Also being the only artist with her own personalize art paper. Good work Alex. |

Bluepencil
ARTIST: Andrew Hou Joo Webpage: www.eviljoo.com This piece meserizes me at how much detail and originality was obtained is such a short time. The blue pencils posed a challenged in trying to capture for web the art. I eventually photocopied the piece on high quality copier with colour copy (clay-based perfect white). |

Image: skunkgirl012.jpg
ARTIST: Jay Wilman Email Webpage: www.society-page.net Along with Brandon O'Connell at the same table for AnimeNorth, Jay came up with different idea of pet skunk as oppose to Brandon's skunk morph. Which proves great minds don't think alike. :) |
|
|
Image: skunkgirl013.jpg
ARTIST: Floria Turcinovic Email Webpage: None Originally all the pieces were to be pencil only but Floria slip through before I specify this. Still this skunk drawing actually works as ink drawing with pencils for shading. |

OVERSIZE
ARTIST: Meg Graham Email Webpage: None Officially the LAST entry recieved at AnimeNorth. Meg felt dissapointed at her attempt and was relutant to hand it in. Most people find it an excellent piece of art even in it's raw unfinished state. Part of this challenge is to show the potential of an artist's creativity when given a simular subject. Even if their first attempts don't pan out. I've noticed many artists as diamonds in the raw. Meg's one to watch. |
