Myth and Mischief

"This year's challenge takes it cue from Japanese folklore. They were known for for 'Myth and mischief'. If someone was acting strangely, they were thought to be possessed by the mischievious fox spirit, The Kitsune. So somehow, someway, the artist had to come up with something that captured the spirit of the Kitsune."
So the challenge began with a deadline of 2pm Sunday. However another challenge proved more concerning ... to find a judge for the challenge. Luckily, Iron Cat's Steve Bennett III stepped into the breach. Having been a participant in another challenge of mine, he agreed to help out.
Steve has been teaching the art of cell painting to anime convention goers for years. A skill which is in risk of being lost due to digital production. However, Steve points out in his class that the principles and disiplines of the animation remains the same as in life.
