This has to be one of those Calvin and Hobbes moments with the 4 koma word, Crisis.

Kean Soo assisitant editor on Flight Volume 2. Both volumes of Flight are large telephone book graphic anthologies. It is the closest I've seen a North American publication which is like the Japanese weeklies which alot of Manga are collections from. Instead of commission, I agree to buy volume 1. Kean has more work in volume 2 but I thought it would make a nice begining to Manga JAM reading program.

AZAD was an artist just right beside Kean and started working on second panel without prompting. I find this a little ackward since I like to negociate a fair price before work is started. His book, A Very Sammy Day ended up being the price.  Still alot of artists use blue pencil to draw lines to be erased or ignored. Instead, it was used to shade and enhance the artwork giving it feeling and depth.A truly wonderful. AZAD's site is Guerrilla Comics.

Attila Adorjany was one of the talented artists at The Hive booth along with Eric Kim. His inking is wonderful and quick. The dialogue balloon is suppose to be some alien language, he says. All I can say is his work is nothing short of genius. Attila can be fouund at 600 Pound Gorilla .

Originally at this point I thought the monster turning to just mom as the last panel. I had originally turned to Scott Chantler for the last panel but instead he chosen Hell over Crisis.

Late in the day, I picked punk music lover, Nick Craine to work on the last panel. What I didn't expect was great art as well as a twist on the final panel. The kid becomes a hero fighting the monsters. The illustration is beyond distinguished. I am in awe of the detail in so little time.

I have no link for this artist but his current project can be found at Parting Ways by Speakeasy Comics.
