4 Koma Project
CN Anime - Comic Expo 2005
August 26th to 28th 2005

It was one year ago, at this convention that the first 4 koma project was run. Based on the success of the first one. Several have been run over the year. To date, some 123 panels, approximately 80 different artists and 29 complete 4 koma strips. not to mention 5 posters for each of the events where they were run.

Needless to say, one tired individual, namely me trying to keep track of it all.

I'm surprised at how fast this comic jam variant has gained popularity. It has become a level playing field where pros and amateurs can draw. In some sense it has made other artists aware of other's work, In the artist alley at cons, artists have little chance to move around and see the con, let alone other artists works. Most commissions are dictated of what to draw. I simply ask to pick a word and follow what is happening in other panels. The results though varied, has been wonderful.

Added are several panels to 4 koams already in progress. Hell was completed. As well as Myth from Japanese artist, Yamaneko-ya. The 4 koma, Ronin, had a third panel added at this con as well.

Of course, alot of my traffic is con goers looking for cosplay pictures. The whole purpose of this is to highlight artists works which might get passed up for some of the other things at conventions. Art is not manufactured ... its made. I hope that more people will notice and hopefully the next generation of artists will keep drawing.

Warning!
Some content of the following 4 komas and artist's websites might not appropriate for minors nor those with low intolerance to satire or humour.

THANKS TO ALL THE PARTICIPANTS !!!
